Why pair with Jiufen

The Pingxi railway runs through the old street—trains pass overhead and lanterns lift off the tracks. Only in Taiwan. Shifen mornings, Jiufen evenings is every Japanese guide’s fixed combo.

How to fly a lantern

Pick a color: white health, red love, yellow wealth, blue career are the main ones; shops show meaning cards.
Write + shoot: fill four sides; staff photograph your release.

Access & time needed

TRA Taipei → Ruifang, transfer to Pingxi Line, ~80 min to Shifen. Jiufen–Shifen under 1 hr by bus/taxi.
