Taiwan address: first-night hotel name + address only. Example: No. 36, Sec. 3, Zhongxiao E. Rd., Taipei City + hotel name

Visa type: visa-exempt → Visa-Exempt, leave Entry Permit Number blank.

5. Steps

Official site → Submit Arrival Card → read notice → Start, pick language.
Enter email → request code → paste code quickly (5–10 min).
Personal + passport: surname/given name as in passport, DOB, gender (Male/Female only), birth country/city, passport no., visa type. Or upload passport photo, then manually double-check. Occupation Other → add job title. Chinese name optional.
Travel: arrival flight, arrival date, departure date, outbound flight, purpose, occupation. Group can tick Same as Lead Traveller.
Stay: home address, Taiwan hotel/address, phone, email.
Review → Edit if needed → tick declaration → enter on-page code → Submit until Verification Success.
Save: confirmation email with barcode + card no. Screenshot it (print optional). Keep card no. for edits. Officers scan your passport; show phone screenshot only if asked.

6. Group and edits

One person files for up to 16 (desktop) / 10 (mobile). Infants and children each need their own form.
Edit before clearance at twac.immigration.gov.tw/update with card no. + DOB + passport no. + nationality.
Missed it? Scan TWAC QR codes at check-in counters or before immigration; airport tablets, free Wi-Fi, and reading glasses provided.

7. Common mistakes

Name order flipped vs passport; 0 vs O in passport no.
Email typo or expired code.
No outbound flight → cannot submit.
Taiwan address without hotel name; phone without country code.
Using fake fee-charging sites. URL must end with immigration.gov.tw.

Do visa-exempt travelers still need TWAC?

Yes. TWAC is an arrival declaration, not a visa. Once per entry, single-use.

Do infants need their own TWAC?

Yes. Everyone including infants, one form each; family can batch-file within 16.

Can I file at the airport on arrival day?

Yes, via on-site QR, but do it the night before to avoid Wi-Fi stress.
