- Cable car + Formosan Village: ~10 min across-lake panorama (fares per official site); add the park with time.
- Lakeside cycling: Xiangshan stretch is the CNN pick; 2-hr rental is right; check water at Nine Frogs.
Access & time needed
- ~90 min by Taiwan Tourist Shuttle from Taichung HSR. Stay a day (Lalu overnight ideal).
- Autumn Sep–Nov fireworks festival packs out; book ahead. Dawn mist is loveliest.
Tips
- Cable car halts in wind/thunderstorms; check notices. Confirm last boat.
- Lakeside road has traffic; use bike lanes only, no night riding.
