Matsu Qinbi Village & Blue Tears

Nestled on the rocky slopes of Beigan, Matsu, Qinbi Village is acclaimed as the "Mediterranean of Taiwan." Terraced stone houses made of local granite face Turtle Island across azure waters, representing the finest preserved Min-eastern architecture with stone-weighted tile roofs. During spring and summer (April to June), visitors can witness the ethereal "Blue Tears" (bioluminescent dinoflagellates) glowing along the shores.
